CD Reviews

No tricks from LA CA. and i dont mean the girls either....

(4 out of 5 stars)

"girls got pissed. if you dont believe me listen to "crumbling down" and "no hay perdon" and tell me otherwise. and im not doing this review because the singer is cute.

i listened to this cd start to end already and i can definitely say its a very straightforward no tricks punk cd. theres not much that stands out in the lyrics or music (except the occasional betty solo) and it makes for good background music with hangouts happening or if youre looking for something to skate to on the go. each song has its own vibe and im definitely a big fan of that. its not like cave in where each song is completely different, but its noticeble changes. some songs are upbeat, some songs are slower but still fast enough. and theres the slow song that doesnt suck either. its well rounded on the writing/song structure areas and by the end of the cd youll want to hear more (they did it on the EP and again on the full length and that made listening to this even better) and it leaves you feeling like theres something left to be said and well......im sure it will be said live.

these girls have something special in them that appeals and if people miss this and the cd doesnt pick up in the next months and kids dont get into this i seriously wont know what to think. i dont think theres a reason why this shouldnt pick up. this was definitely worth the wait since i last saw them in july. this is definitely my top choice for the slew of fall releases coming out so far other than the new suicide machines.

overall- 8.5/10
