CD ReviewsOne of the best in the series Shore DJ | Oceanport, New Jersey United States | 02/02/2010 (5 out of 5 stars) "The third or fourth album in this series concentrates on big band gems from the forties, giving us great stereo recordings featuring some of the best studio players around. Woody Herman's Apple Honey kicks it off in fine style. Mission to Moscow sounded a bit slow, but that's only because I'm used to the version by Glenn Miller's Army Air Force Band. The Champ was an unknown title to me, and Kenton's Intermission Riff is a perfect closer. The sound is great, a credit to Capitol's engineers, who probably had to do a session with Kenton's mellophonium orchestra during the same time period. If you can get that on tape, you can do anything.
