"Simply put, Campbell interprets the pure emotion and sensitivity of Webb's words and music. I have seen Jimmy several time in New York over the last few (10 or 12) years and he always pays homage to Campbell in some way at those events. Listening to the tunes on this CD allows the listener to understand his respect for Campbell. I think Jimmy must have written many of these songs knowing that Campbell would interpret them just the way Jimmy intended for them to be sung.
Old fans will enjoy hearing Campbell sing more than just the commercial "Galveston" and "Wichita Lineman". Fresh listeners will immediatley appreciate both Jimmy and Glen, and can't help but being new converts.
Terrific listening on every track particularly on " Still within the sound of my voice.""

"I have a lot of Glen Campbell music, but this is now my favorite. I have always loved the music of Jimmy Webb, and the combination with Glen is supurb. I get tired of hearing only the big hit songs, and this has some new ones, new to me anyway, gems. His songs are so full of wonderful lyrics and beautiful melodies, that you wonder why more of them weren't hits. Glen's vocals are very rich and satisfying. I would recommend this highly to anyone and especially to Glen Campbell fans."
