"Took some 7 years..but the new studio album by Gladys will be definitely what the fans were waiting and hoping for...
Finally she's got good songs, good production and good as always vocals.
Mmmmh, what would i reccomend off the album rightaway?
Definitely THAT'S WHY THEY CALL IT LOVE and BETTER LOVE NEXT TIME: Guy Roche and Shelly Peiken have become a consolidated writing team, and both these tracks are such gems!
Then there is an uplifting, gospel-like backed up tune named GREATEST LOVE OF ALL (nothing to do with Withney's...) that just is an amazing testament of faith in God.
IF I WERE YOUR WOMAN II is the "blackest" track off the album, heavily R'n'B.
Babyface delivers a nice slowjam titled LOVE HURTS...and Gladys pours her soul in it.
DO YOU REALLY WANT TO KNOW (WHAT MAKES ME FALL IN LOVE) is both for the fan and the casual listener alike, they both will enjoy it.
ROSE BOUQUET sings the disillusions of what might have been or should have been an eternal love.
JUST TAKE ME is a bold request of endless passion.
And to top it off, the japanese version has the bonus title track, the Etta James' standard that Gladys performs with such a class you can't help but appreciate.
