Gilles Peterson's consistently superb 'Worldwide series.....

"The third in the "Gilles Peterson's" acclaimed `Worldwide' series compiling a sublime track set to rival any similar compilations. "2 Banks of 4's" utterly invigorating "One Day" is soulful jazz, the way "Jazzanova" would compose, full of impeccable production, ambitious percussions, and dulcet vocals. "RH Factor's - Poetry" sees "A Tribe Called Quest's" rapper `Q-Tip' laying down mellow jazz-Rap, as expertly as his Tribe Called Quest Days. Yet the real surprise is "Jermaine Jackson" pushing forth with a Luther Vandross-esque romantic soul of "You Like Me Don't You", brimming over with seductive strings & warm electronics, that is almost certainly is the greatest thing he's ever done. The Latin-orchestrated ensemble of the "Spanish Harlem Orchestra's - La Banda" & Henry Mancini Concert Orchestra's - Butterfly" to give much depth and diversity. And as to empathise the greatness of this album, there's a Mediterranean-dance infused version of "James Brown's - Give It Up or Turnit a Loose"...Genius!!!"
