This exceptional Gillan line-up had just released their fifth studio album, Magic, and returned for sell out concerts in Scotland on what was to be their last tour ever. Recorded by Radio Clyde in November 1982. First time on CD, includes informative sleeve notes and 2 bonus tracks: 'No Easy Way' & 'If You Believe Me' recorded in Germany the year before. Angel Air. 2005.

"The nine tracks from the Glasgow Apollo were a FM radio broadcast on Scotland's Radio Clyde. It IS the full broadcast, although not the full set as performed on the night. I am not sure of the origin of the two bonus tracks from Munich but the SQ is also excellent, although 'No Easy Way' is not complete, being faded out, and Ian's voice is a bit rough on 'If You Believe Me'. This CD would seem to be the same as 'River Sessions', on River Records (a label established to issue the radio archive of Scottish Radio Holdings, which includes Radio Clyde)."
