"If you want to listen to pure rock n' roll as we know it, this cd will offer you that kind of perspective. If you heard some of Clarke's old work (The tequila brothers...."cure me or kill me" and "tijuana jail"), you'll understand my words. Try first to feel confortable with Gilby's voice, nothing astonishing, but warm. The tracks are pure rock, lots of guitar work. Wasn't Yesterday Great, nice intro to the album, with good piano background, and pretty riffs. The second track lets you taste rock n' roll, some slide guitars, piano. Zip gun is a heavier song, drums and bass do their stuff here, and it sure sticks to your mind, cause you end upsinging it all day long. Higher is a good song, it gets to you, and it's got what it takes to be a rock song. Mickey Marmalade is a different kinda song, was made to sound live...weird lyrics! Blue Grass Mosquito...well, sort of ballad, very nice guitar and organ work, also cool percussion. Happiness is A warm gun, incredible cover! Gilby plays all instrument in this one, pretty good vocal performance. Hang on to yourself (Bowie), very cool song, it reminds of the Glam Era. The Worst, it's one of the best songs of the album, really sticky one. Captain Chaos..weird. Punk Rock Pollution, the guy just hates punk, cool guitar riffs, simple. The cd, is a good one, if you're expecting thunderous guitar solos, you're wrong. It's just simple rock and roll. DVB"
