Album DescriptionThe Columbia, Date and Fraternity recordings of Cincinnati's top 1960s girl group, featuring all of the trio's northern soul favourites and some great examples of their work as back-up singers. Belting early 60s R&B and Soul from a respected black female group. The compilation features the distinctive tones of Lonnie Mack with the Charmaines as his backing group as well as the girls in their own right. Over half the tracks are new to CD, including three previously unissued tracks. It also includes an unreleased track, `I Don't Wanna Lose Him', which some DJs regard as one of the best of all unreleased Northern Soul sides.
