"I don't have the time to write a fitting review, but i figured I had to write some kind words of this cd and group, for people that are thinking of buying it. If you want something that is jazzy, but isn't exactly jazz, this may be it. If you want something that pushes the boundaries of jazz and ambient music so far that it is floating in its own little world, this is the cd. If you want some really floaty, atmospheric music that can sweep you away, this is it. Any fan of Candiria should already know about this group. Three of the members in GOTC are in Candiria (bassist, drummer, and guitarist), but you wouldn't really know it by this cd. This further proves that the musicians in Candiria can do anything they want to do. Even if you're not a Candiria fan, check this out anyway. It doesn't have a single heavy moment in it. Every element of the cd is done perfectly from the trippy keyboard passages, silky smooth groovy jazz drum beats, clean and effects ridden guitar lines, and solid bass playing. There are other surpises thrown in too, like chanting (this is the only form of vocals on the album), other percussion, and my favorite the didgeridoo. This is some of the best mood music that I have ever heard. Don't forget the amazing packaging that the cd comes with. Not only do you get mind blowing music that could possibly change your life, but you get some of the best artwork that has been put out with an album also. The drummer proves his talents further with the fitting artwork. Just look at the artwork, listen to the music, and drift away. If you're looking something that pushes the boundaries further than they've been pushed before, and in a beautiful way, look no further than Ghosts of the Canal."

"This album is quite a musical ride from start to finnish. If you're still not sure about buying it, think about spontaneous-acid jazz music with synths, didgeridoo, keyboards, violin plus some pink floyd kinda mellodies.Highly recommended after consuming cannabis or psylocibin, or both"
