CD ReviewsElevator Music? Wallace V. French III | Boston MA | 07/12/2002 (3 out of 5 stars) "This is a good Gerald Veasley cd and sounds a lot like his previous work. However, I was a little bamboozled because I read a review in a magazine that this cd was Veasley's most bass solo cd ever. There is not one bass solo song on this cd. It is good old Gerald Veasley soft jazz. I like it and it is good, but hopefully you didn't buy this cd like me which was based on a different review. The songs are all soft jazz and Veasley's six string bass playing is prolific indeed. If you liked his previous work you will enjoy this cd." "On the Fast Track"...for a relaxing Evening Racquel | Philadelphia, PA USA | 09/13/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "Pop in Gerald's latest CD and open a bottle of wine, run the bath water, and relax the night away!! This CD offers the best in contemporary smooth jazz. "On the Fast Track" is a must have for Business Travelers who want to escape to a world of exciting and innovative music. Boarding this train, is no mistake!" On the Right Track for Sure! arch114 | 09/07/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "This is the first CD I ever purchased by Gerald Veasley and it is excellent. I heard a cut of "DO I DO' on a local Jazz radio station and was instantly keyed into the excellent horn playing especially on the saxophone. I decided to buy the CD and Gerald Veasley certainly is a solid and talented player but the saxophone and horn arrangements were outstanding. This horn players name in the album cover is Chris Farr and if there ever was someone whose sound is ready for the big time jazz market it should be him. I hope someone hears this CD who can breakout new artist. I would like to give Gerald a 5 star on a great album and more importantly a talented group of musicians as support."
