"on this 1978 album, which sounds dated and is now-forgotten, Jones shows us some eclectic style shifts and dazzles us with funky Blues infected rockers like "When Your Phone Don't Ring It'll Be Me", "I Ain't Got No Business Doin' Business Today", and "I Don't Want No Stranger Sleeping In My Bed". side one opens up with traditional honky-tonk and country sounds ( "I'll Just Take It Out in Love", "I Gave It All Up For You", "Ain't Your Memory Got No Pride at All?", "If You Loved a Liar" plus "Bartender's Blues"). side two is where he gets funky with the ones i mentioned earlier. a novelty song on this album is the insane "Leaving Love All Over the Place", which tells the wicked story of two people who love each other... "Julianne" closes out this great album of eclectic songs all did in Jones' distinct delivery. i love this album and i'm probably in the minority when i say that. open your mind and forget about the instrumentation for awhile and listen to him deliver the goods."
