"long overdue collection of George Hamilton IV music, especially the ABC Paramount product. Find it amazing that some of our best American music is only available from foreign makers. Highlight is certainly "Only One Love" the follow-up to "A Rose and A Baby Ruth". Somehow even the oldies stations miss playing this one. (also one that I missed buying on 45."

"George Hamilton the 4th first song was "A rose and a baby ruth" #6 in 1956 on the pop charts. Here are all, [except 1] of hamilton's 10 charted songs from 1956 to 1959. Missing is "The teen commandments" #29 in 1958. Starting on the pop side, these 32 song focuse mostly on his pop side, however, even Hamilton's pop side dosent "POP" very much, he is known for slow easly listening music. This set also includes 5 of the first 7 songs to make the country charts for Hamilton. The breakdown is: 9 of 10 pop singles, > 3 b-sides of pop singles, > 5 of the 7 first country singles, > 3 songs in alternat versions, and 12 songs not on either chart. They sound like pop album cuts. "Abilene" was his 7th country hit, and it went to #1 in 1963, it also crossed over and was #15 on the pop singles."
