CD ReviewsWorth the $$. D. Suckau | LA JOLLA | 11/23/2008 (4 out of 5 stars) "George Benson and Jack McDuff? I'm sold. Actually Benson isn't so much at the the top of his game (technically) here as compared with the inhumanly fast burning runs on his later releases and maybe neither is Mcduff, but the sounds are retro cool. It is very pleasing to the ear and it is super bluesy and jazzy. If you are familiar with George Benson's more successful releases than you might be a bit disappointed in the lack of flash displayed, but I tend to view it as a more sensitive and subdued Benson. As for Jack he hits all the right spots, and there are at least a couple of tunes where the hooks are all Jack's. Very nice."
