TRANCE, whether you like your Trance melodic and uplifting, or hard and fast, Trance by any definition is here to stay. From the Warehouse Parties of the late 80's to Television Commercials in 2006, Trance has become pa... more »rt of the new millennium, part of our lifestyle. And all because of DJs like George Acosta. George proves every time he puts a needle on a record that "Trance", whatever the label, has changed, evolved, become a lifestyle, a culture...as well it should. With over 15 years of experience as a DJ and producer, George has helped change and evolve Trance from an underground movement to massive festival experiences throughout the world. "George Acosta is probably America's most unique DJ and has undoubtedly been a major force in shaping the sound of trance in Miami and beyond" says fellow DJ Dave Ralph. George Acosta is America's representative in the global Trance scene. Coming up playing Warehouse parties in his native Miami, he then went on to producing tracks of his own with such international hits like Planet Soul, Emotions, Taking Over Space, R U Awake and The Reaper. George then made the next logical step for a successful DJ and Producer and opened his own record store, Grooveman Music on South Beach in Miami. He knows his crowds so well because he is just as big a fan as they are of his music. Just like the thousands he plays for, George Acosta lives it. George tries to maintain a close connection to the people who come to hear him play because like them, he discovered the music as a fan first. It was during his three-year residency at Miami's famed Shadow Lounge that George honed his craft and began educating South Beach to this wonderful emotional roller-coaster ride that was quickly moving west from Europe. Now firmly entrenched in South Beach, George produced his first mix CD, "Awake". This became the definitive sound of South Beach. It was this same CD that helped propel George on to the world stage. With record bag and headphones in hand, George prepared to move the planet in his own unique way. He began playing some of the biggest clubs and festivals in the world, Berlin's Love Parade, Miami's Ultra Beach Festival and Rave on the Rocks to name a few. And with demand for George reaching a fever pitch, he is producing his new Mix CD, "All Rights Reserved" with top American Dance Music label Moist Music. This ambitious Double CD will represent his legendary all night sets, evoking the different emotions and textures of his sets, from epic, string-soothed splendor to searing tech-trance.« less

"He's back. And you will notice it about 30 seconds into the first disc. He delivers a hard punch on this first disc (which is by far the better of the two). Starting the mix with Escape really takes you far away from Kansas. The second song Polarity really shows you the old Acosta style. And from here on out he just keeps sucking you out, bringing you back, with a harder sound each time (playing a little game with himself probably called top this). If you liked Cosmic Gates second disc from their back 2 back album, then this first disc will have a place in your heart. He brought Zonderland from that album and finishes with the banging vocal track my Marco V. The second disc is unique for Acosta fans. Close to like a bonus disc/slash studio album at the end. He stirs up a nice intro with some nice vocals and some euphoric trance (that's right this is not a dark disc). Then he fades AOL out perfectly into his studio tracks. Well the vocalist he brought in is perfect for the beats he has cooked up in this epic adventure. Also throws in a great remix of the old 80's tune Blue Monday (With an electro voice). The ending of this disc was probably my favorite part (he thanks us the only way Acosta knows how, through music). Well buy it. Like you didn't already. haha."
Absolutely Amazing

"If you like progressive trance, this CD will blow your mind. It's one of those CDs that you don't have to tell your friend "Hey, number 2 is good" because numbers 1-12 on both CDs are spectacular. The intense feeling captured by this album is enough to make one forget completely about everything else just for the moment, and be completely carried off by pure sound. Progressive Trance fans will NOT be dissapointed."
Acosta's Best and Just AMAZING!!

"This is George Acosta's best DJ-mix set yet! ALL RIGHTS RESERVED is a flawless comp. from beginning to end, and this may end up being the best mix of Trance I have ever heard. There is not one bad track on this mix, and the way it opens with Airbase's "Escape" is just dark and haunting, but a perfect way to begin this immaculate set. It is too hard to highlight any of the particular mixes because all are just awesome! Within these two-cds, Acosta has an excellent mix of Trance, Hard Trance, and even some tinges of Electro thrown in. I also really liked how George mixed out of DJ Tommy Boy's "AoL" and into his productions, which the last five tracks on CD2 are George Acosta's own produced material. Eventhough he just faded out of "AoL" and into "Mellowdrama," he was saying by the fade.. I hope you enjoyed the mix now onto some of my work. And of course, the tracks prior to "Mellowdrama" and after, are mixed perfectly by Acosta. I love his beatmatching and his creative skills of going into each new mix.
I have listened to Trance for about seven or eight years now, but I have really gotten into it the last four or five. I discovered George Acosta with his HISTORY OF TRANCE in 2004. I then proceded to buy some more of his CDs, and I've been blown away by them all, but not as much or as quickly as with ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. A friend bought this set the same day I did, and he has almost gone deaf from listening to it non-stop and volume pumped up. From CD1 track 1 to CD2 track 12 you will be in Trance Heaven with this set!
I reccommend all of George Acosta's CDs, but my favorites are: MIAMI (CD2), TOUCHED, THE LOST WORLD, and AM EDITION.
To all Trance fans.... you must buy ALL RIGHTS RESERVED!!! The best of 2006, and quite possibly the best mix of Trance you will ever hear!"
I don't know why I waited so long...

"I'm not the most avant garde trance/techno enthusiast. I've no idea where the genre is headed these days or who's who right now. But I really like some of what I would call the "classic" trance/techno sounds on these two CD's. I dropped it onto my iPod and have listened to it on a couple of plane trips. Then again, I've been a fan of George Acosta for years and pretty much like everything he's done. True, much of it sounds similar, but then that's what I'm buying his music for. I do my exploring in other genres. George is like comfort food for my ears. I did think that Miami wasn't his best, but for some reason I like All Rights Reserved a lot more and put it up with Awake and Next Level, which are probably my favorites."
