Still one of the best

"This is an oldie but a REAL goodie: the sound quality isn't quite up to modern standards, but the material is wonderful. The first track has a haunting melody bracketing a beautiful taxsim section, and the transition back to the main melody is nice -- even if you're not strong on choreography, just listen and the music will tell you what to do. "Dance for the King" is a terrific piece for dance students, too, with its many changes in instruments, tune, and "flavor." The only thing I find annoying with many of the tracks is that the conclusions fade away: most belly dancers prefer a definite, snappy ending that permits a dramatic ending to the dance. But this is an album I still find myself dancing to "just for fun" -- not because I "have to practice"!"

"Another great recording known and loved by American belly dancers. Abdo produced 5 albums in the series: Joy of/ and Magic of/were the best of these."
