One of 1991's most wrongly neglected R&B CDs.

"This was one of 1991's best but most criminally underrated R&B CDs. Gene Rice's husky, powerful and smoky Soul vocals place him in the same league as such greats as Teddy Pendergrass, Marvin Gaye and Eddie Levert. Gorgeous ballads like "You're Gonna Get Served", "Love Is Calling You", "No One Can Love You Like I Love You", "So Far Away" and "You're A Victim" are all sublime '70s-Soul flavored ballads that should have made this CD go platinum. Sadly, this CD got airplay and exposure only on late-night Quiet Storm radio shows and was not the major hit it should have been."
