"All Krupa fans will love this release. In 1944 Gene put together a new band-with 9 strings! A big success, but the high overhead lead to the dropping of the strings by late spring '45. So recordings are scarce of the group, and these are great! All live performances, with the legendary Charlie Ventura on tenor sax. Liner notes are especially good as well with complete documentation and pictures."
