Red, White & Blues is a celebration of that evolution. Hear the broad spectrum of American sounds, performed as only GMCLA can, from the lyrics of Chief Seattle to the modern music of Paul Simon and Leonard Bernstein. It's all here: folk songs, hymns, showtunes, ragtime, jazz, and poptunes; the songs of "huddled masses yearning to breathe free." First presented as a concert, Red, White & Blues earned tears and cheers. The shows literally stopped for multiple standing ovations at every performance. Weeks later, by popular demand, this compact disc was recorded at Paramount Studios. A goosebump experience conducted with precision by Artistic Director Dr. Bruce Mayhall. A percentage of the proceeds from this CD benefit the Matthew Shepard Foundation to help replace hate with understanding, compassion and love.
