"these guys, oh these guys. honestly, i thought "rest of us" was a bit of a letdown. maybe not, but it just never really caught on w/ me. "lemonade," however, is a great note to go out on. this is one of their most consistent records; i can listen to it all the way through, unlike say, "just beautiful music," which is a bit spotty. one thing i've noticed here is that the guitar absolutely shreds, and i know that one of the myriad reasons the boys are hanging it up is that Tom has contracted parkinsons disease. i don't really think there's a standout track here, although if i were pressed i'd probably say "another wafer please"(is that an organ? right on!) or "kingdom of the sun." while i wouldn't start here, you won't be disappointed w/ "lemonade." for the record, my fave huffer records in order are:
1.Inhuman Ordeal...
2.One Inch Masters
3.Interity,Technology and Service
4.Lemonade For Vampires
5.Just Beautiful Music *
6.Janitors of Tomorrow
7.Rest of US
* I could rate this record higher for "Don't Panic" alone--it is the Hap-Hap-Happiest song I've ever heard, and I defy anyone to prove me wrong!!!"

"Great note for Gas Huffer to go out on. There are the songs about things (a doomed movie production, a statue, nano-technology, fugitives, Easter memories...), but it also has a couple of first person songs, a change for GH. Great melodies, and the organ is a good addition. It would be a good choice for someone new to the group. Alternatingly loose & fun and borderline serious, it fits well in the Gas Huffer canon, not quite a "I.T.S.", but they never are, are they?
Also, the first album to carry a lyric sheet!"
