So this is like a maxi single of Dominion Day (from Exile) with several great, rare bonus tracks.
This was the first recording where Numan updated some of the fans' favorite songs from early in his career, to his current dark industrial sound. (The Hybrid project (2003) was almost totally in this vein.) Voix is superior to the original, Down in the Park is definitely worth a listen, and Metal is absolutely great, very atmospheric. These versions weren't widely available--you won't find them on Hybrid.
Dominion Day and Dead Heaven are both good tracks from Exile. It's interesting to see the evolution; in 1994 Numan made Sacrifice, the first album he was happy with in years; here in 1998 he was fully immersed in the new sound and exploring; in 2000 he nailed the sucker with Pure, re-incorporating more rock; after Hybrid there was eventually Jagged in 2006, still cool but dangerously close to getting stuck in a rut. He needs to step back out of the haunted house. :)
