"Have no fear Gary...even though the masses will diss you for taking your music to a new avenue. It takes only a second listen to get used to the sequenced beats & realize that the compositions and guitar playing are primo'. Too bad some folks can't get passed the big beats, because they're missing out on some great guitar work and tunes. The Blues are still there with some Rock,R&B and Jazz to boot. Those who are locked into straight blues will be disappointed. But, the lucky few who find that the blues can be recycled a bit much and get stagnant like in "Blues for Greeny", will be treated to a great disc. If you can't get enough of Gary's guitar playing- Different Beat, gives his playing more air time. "Surrender" is a beauty with some tasty guitar work that keeps teasing you on for over 5 plus minutes. If the blues is what you want...still there in "Go on Home, Worry no More, Fire, & House Full of Blues. Great Endeavor Gary..."

"I have been a Gary Moore fan since his hard rock/ metal days. Run for Cover I think was my first album and I love his guitar playing. For a while I thought he was going to be a bluesman for the rest of his life, don't get me wrong, I like the blues and all but you can have too much of a good thing. The new album is great, and I love the way he has fused blues/big beat/drum and bass. The track Fatboy recalls the Big Beat king himself, Fatboy Slim, and Cant Get Enough is a wicked drum and bass tune. As always the songs are great, poor Gary, he always seems to be having women trouble in his songs. The standout track for me is Surrender, a laid back smokey blues ballad with a trip hop vibe. Gary is a master of the ballad and this tune follows the tradition of excellence established with his older tracks, Parisienne Walkways, Empty Rooms and Still Got the Blues. If you like Gary Moore, buy this!"
Same Gary...excellent!

"The beat may be more techno now,but the exceptional talents of this legendary musician are the same.Great songs, feeling, quality vocals and,of course, top notch guitar, all demonstrate that Gary can shine even in an electronica environment.Great new album."
Good work except for the rhythmic section...

"This record is pretty good, good songs, good guitar playing but I think there's a problem in the mix; the (programmed) drums are too much undermixed to me, and it kills a bit the energy of the whole song, I think a real drummer would have bring more life to the groove (and a real bass player too actually, Gary can play it but bass is a state of mind :))
Despite this, I enjoy listening to this LP, and I'm sure the songs will kick azz on stage."
