"Wow! Clark fans, this was the best gift anyone could recieve..
My aunt recently attended a Gary Clark concert in New York and ordered his cd from amazon the minute she came home. Not only will this music put you in an instant Christmas mood , but you are bound to find yourself hitting replay over and over.
Piano solo is an art Ive discovered by listening to so many incredible pianists. Gary Clark has mastered the keyboard in so many facets that its simply amazing..
Gary's take on The Lords Prayer is so astounding I actually felt chills running down my back all through this beautifully arranged tune. God's gift to Gary is a blessing to anyone who is lucky enough to hear his recordings or better yet live...
Ave Maria is so compelling that this arrangement will surely stay with you for years to come. I love his style on The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year, very uplifting.. a slight jazzy bluesy feel on My Favorite Things, and the lyrical improv on the ballads such as The Christmas Song and Silver Bells is beautiful.
Julie Davis delivers a wonderful vocal on Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, reminding us of Judy Garland, and you will love the middle eastern touch on Do You Hear What I Hear?,
Blessed is this man at a piano.....His gift to us, is sharing his gift from God. I will most definately seek out other Gary Clark recordings and surely will enjoy them as I have Christmas.
Christmas dinner will include this beautiful CD from year to year.. Thanks to my aunt I am a new Gary Clark fan.. I would recomend this lovely cd to piano lovers, or music lovers of classic tunes. You will be pleasently surprised when you hear Garys orignial Winter Rhapsody.. A brilliant piece of song writing. Treat yourself, or better yet Treat a friend or relative... Merry Christmas!!!"
Now this I like...

"I didn't like Clark's Simply Grand album, but he actually sounds more relaxed and at ease doing Christmas standards, he sounds musch more creative here. This cd is actually a favorite Christmas cd of mine, if Gary keeps thsi up, I'll have to keep buying his cd's, do soem more standards buddy and throw in a bass and drummer, and jazz things u a bit, show a little more creativity so I can give ya 5 stars!"

"This may not be my cup o' tea, but Gary plays beautifully! He plays it very straight and never takes chances, however he may be the GREATEST easy listening(non jazz playing) pianist in the world right now, as a matter of fact he sounds classicly trained. Yuo will enjoy thsi cd if you liek romantic non-jazz easy listening music. The Hawk doesn't care for this sort of music, but can admit it is pretty!!!"
Gary is that rare musical dinosaur that we've been seeking

"Please excuse me ladies and gentlemen while I try to regain my composure. The performances on this cd have caused me to have an irregular heart beat. Please bear with me and stand by for a moment! Now, that's better! I had one goal in mind when I heard from Gary about the release of this cd. I wanted to be the first person in line to buy this cd. I hope I succeed, for I have learned that over time Gary turns out nothing but the best in music. He is every bit that great virtuoso that we have labeled him. The guy is nothing short of a genius! For the sake of this review I would like to refer to Gary as "Pilgrim". To begin with, Pilgrim did the right thing, he played it his way. He played in the most wonderful style. He arranged each tune to where he could highlight each song to the fullest. Pilgrim is a master of bleeding each beautiful note out of each tune he performs. I don't think I have ever seen anybody else be able to do so such a good job of bringing out the best in a song. He leaves no stones unturned, when it comes to exposing the songs inner meaning. Without question Pilgrim is that great virtuoso. For the repertoire, I think Pilgrim must have had a chat with God. I know without a doubt that God must be perfectly pleased with the tunes offered on this cd. To be a little bit redundant, I must remind each one of you that the reason for this seaon of Christmas is to wish a happy birthday to Jesus Christ. I think this cd has done more than this. This cd features probably the best selection of Christmas tunes of all time. I think it would be very hard for me, in my wildest dreams, to not be able to say happy birthday to Jesus after hearing these song tributes. In conclusion, I would like to offer my thanks to Pilgrim for his fine musicianship. He has earned the label of a who's who's in my books and I am so thankful to have a dear friend such as Gary. In parting, please allow me to offer a heartfelt Merry Christmas to Gary and all his fine listeners. I wish you all the best!"

"We get the point, Gary doesn't play jazz, he doesn't improvise, he's not creative. I still play this at every Christmas dinner. I love this cd and the person leaving one star obviously should stop buying Gary Clark cd's. Go buy a jazz cd, and stop buying easy listening cd's, just to leave a review saying it isn't jazz, when nobody said it was. IT'S NOT JAZZ..The-hawkthe-hawkthe-hawk\THE-HAWK!!!!!!!!!!!"
