A great CD to listen to in the car

"This is a wonderfully satisfying CD - not as complex or orignal as some of his later CD's, but strong nourishment for the soul.
'Crucifixion' is classic Phil Ochs - brutal, complex, with sharp rough images. But while Ochs' version is rather bizarre and nauseating, Garnet Rogers turns the same words into a powerfully insightful, reverential piece, with the last 2 verses handled entirely differently. I often feel rather wrung out after listening to it - saddened, but also uplifted and understanding. It is followed perfectly with 'A Good Life After All' - the 2 songs so belong together, I am very grateful he did it that way. Dear Grandfather is also a deeply spiritual song, but done simply enough so you can enjoy it on whatever level you prefer. The other songs stand frequent re-listening, a great car CD."
