This is a reissue of the 1979 Juno Award winning LP by guitarist Ed Bickert and bassist Don Thompson. It has remained as one of Bickert's most sought after recordings. The music was captured on tape one Sunday evening (Jan. 22, 1978) in the intimate surroundings of Joel Schulman's Garden Party Cafe before an appreciative listening audience. This recording is an important part of Canada's jazz history at a time when international acclaim was being given to these musicians. A 1976 trio session recorded by Ron Geppert with Terry Clarke on drums has been added to the concert performances to offer the listener additional music as well as to augment the length of the CD issue of this material.
