CD ReviewsAlien sex fiend rulez!!! Kevin | Delft Netherlands | 06/04/2002 (5 out of 5 stars) "I'd just get this single for the amzazing "Alien sex fiend"......it's so...good!! A shame though that this single is so hard to get!!" TRACK LISTING IN ERROR: One World | Denver, CO USA | 11/26/2006 (3 out of 5 stars) "Amazon's track listing for this cd single is in error. The accompanying songs actually are from another cd single for the song; "Queer" (see ASIN: B000006YX9). The correct song listing is: 1. Stupid Girl 2. Alien Sex Fiend 3. Stupid Girl (Dreadzone Dub) 4. Stupid Girl (Dreadzone Vocal) " Pretend you're bored... Jesse Andrew | MInneapolis, MN | 07/05/2005 (4 out of 5 stars) "I have both the domestic single and part 1 of the import singles for Stupid Girl. I do not, however, have this one [part 2] The domestic has 3 tracks 1. album version 2. todd terry radio edit 3. driving lesson (previously unreleased)
The single is worth having. Todd Terry's mix is not too adventurous, but it is decent. But if you don't already have Driving Lesson, than you need the domestic Stupid Girl disc. It's an awesome song. Disc one of the 2 dic import set is also called [the remixes] and has the original version along with 3 mixes and tbe bonus track Alien Sex Fiend. This latter track has no vocals save one: "You're an alien sex fiend..." The music is wonderful, you'll agree. And the lack of vocals is saved by the fact that the song is just delicious. The Red Snapper remix is the only remix I found worth jamming to. It is not a danceable remix by any means, but it is the most adventurous mix, sounding the least like the original track. The versus and chorus have been removed from this version. Only a few lines are looped, but they are the best lyrics in the song and the eerie music gives it a great ambience. A great song to have going in the background. I've gathered that disc 2 of the import set, the one i do not own, has a combination of tracks from the other singles, rendering it useless. the sleeve art looks very similar, the only difference being the blue flame, as opposed to the ruddy red hue on the other discs. I hope this has been helpful. Synopsis, die hard fan or not, you probably don't 'need' to purchase this disc." |
