CD ReviewsThe Game shows us some depth Unus e populo | 08/08/2005 (4 out of 5 stars) ""Dreams" is The Game's third single on his latest CD, "The Documentary." The beat was produced by Kanye West. It's more relaxed and thoughtful than his last two singles, "How We Do," and "Hate It or Love It," but still a great song. The Game spits three great verses about his rise to fame, who has inspired him and his views on life. Some of the lyrics seem kind of random, like how thinks Mya is hot, but overall they're some of his best. I give this CD four stars for a thoughtful and interesting third single, but there could be more than two songs on here considering the price." Quality single from The Game Unus e populo | 08/26/2005 (4 out of 5 stars) "For the 3rd single off "The Documentary," Kanye West hooks up The Game with one of his signature sample-filled beats, and it works well with the theme of the track. The Game, on the other hand, drops 3 insightful verses, proving that he's no longer in the shadow of 50 Cent and his former G-Unit mates. Dreams is without a doubt one of the better rap singles of 2005 so far, and I think The Game has what it takes to last in the rap industry for a long time."
