"Jara has been funkin' on since his younger days, leading his own band made of his brothers and sisters. The in the mid-80's he played for Randy Jackson (yes MJ's lil' bro) in his band Randy & the Gypsies before creating Slapbak at the turn of the 90's. His first album had people like George Clinton & Cameo's Larry Blackmon producing tracks. Since then there were few official albums but he continued creating and selling his albums with his own structure. This fabulous performance took place during Jara's first European tour. This is the Belgium date (right after he burned down Paris to the ground!). You can witness here why SLAPBAK's Funk is so special in today's world. No frills, just pure funk. Jara is a master musician playing guitar, keyboards, drums and of course Bass with a capital B. The group he assembled (with special guest Stevie Salas) doesn't take no prisoners and you WILL get FUNKED, no doubt. Easily the best Funk DVD on the market at this time, you get the extra CD too so you can still get hip to Jara's monster grooves while driving in your car! How cool is that?
If you brag around about how funky you are, then there just is no way you can go on without owning this masterpiece! Check it out and I dare you to come back here and say I was wrong! LOL"
