"I'm not sure which is more interesting - Frederic Delarue's story or his first US release, "Voyage of the Soul". The French-born composer was in a life-altering car accident at the age of eleven, where he encountered "angels and beings of light", and he has channeled his musical talents for healing and spiritual growth ever since. Testimonials on his website tell of laying-on of hands in concerts and of summoning angels and beings of light to the stage as well as within the audience to bring about healing. Delarue has also established "Your Name in Music", where he creates a piece of music based on the person's name, connecting him or her to a higher self. This is pretty heady stuff, but the CD is full of ethereal, blissful music that will calm and soothe whether or not you are in search of your angels. Some of the music reminds me a little bit of 2002 and some of Yanni's early work, but Delarue certainly has his own musical voice. One track, "Future of the Sea" was featured on Real Music's compilation, "Cousteau's Dream". "Voyage of the Soul" is a collection of twelve original pieces that "pay tribute to the forces of nature, celebrate the human spirit, and propel the listener on an otherworldly journey into cosmic realms". The pieces range from ambient and ethereal to quite rhythmic and upbeat. The "voyage" begins with "Higher Voice", a beautiful, floating piece with angelic voices behind an instrumental base that evokes the feeling of drifting out in space. "Dream Within a Dream" is a fascinating blend of instruments and musical styles. With a strong rhythmic track along with piano, flutes, and many other sounds, this piece seems to be propelled by the sheer love and joy of making music. Although the melody is poignant in sections, this piece is full of sunshine and smiles. "Future of the Sea" is another favorite. One of the more ambient pieces, it is melancholy but hopeful. The title track is an ambitious twelve minute piece that begins with a lovely piano solo and builds slowly, adding new voices, sounds, and drama. Also ambient and floating, it is very peaceful and soothing. "Reflection" has a bittersweet piano-based melody that I really love. "Promenade" is a surprise with its bagpipes and playful nature - a delightful diversion! "Agape" is truly "French" in spirit - again, light, upbeat, and completely charming. "Full Circle" closes the set with angel voices and the feeling of drifting in the clouds.Frederic Delarue has created an excellent "Voyage" with this CD. The music is so heartfelt and sincere that you can't help but be swept away by it. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this CD many times in several different settings, and recommend it very highly."

"We absolutely love Frederic Delarue's music - there's nothing better for meditation, massage, or a romantic interlude."
The Real "Soul" Music

"My experience with Frederic Delarue began with his "Eyes of Your Heart" CD, the most beautiful music I have ever heard. It is not only beautiful ethereal piano composition, but more importantly, it is so vibrationally superb. Voyage of the Soul is my sixth Delarue CD and Frederic's first album and it is very beautiful. It is from 2003 (?). There are 12 tracks, totaling about 54 minutes. All instrumental, this is perfect style for his music. In other words, I would not want to hear someone singing over it.
This is the beginning of the Delarue collection and it is soft, peaceful, melodic, relaxing and has a wonderful heart-centered vibration to it. As with the other Delarue CDs, this is a vibration that you feel, rather than hear. It is very special. The music flows from one track to the next, with only a slight pause in between tracks. It is excellent for meditation and the other alternate healing therapies, especially with its remarkable internal vibration. It is a combination of keyboard and synthesized sounds. It has a rich and full sound with many long sustained notes.
You can also play this album at work, at even a very low volume. What it actually does is to create a peaceful vibration within the office. If you understand that EVERYTHING is energy anyway, then you probably understand that when you permeate a room with a peaceful harmonic vibration, that everything and everybody in that area sucks it up like a sponge. I double-dog dare you to try it with Frederic's CDs, even if the volume is so low that you are the only one that can hear it! I have been doing it for about 2 weeks and I don't even think they consciously hear it, but subconsciously they do!
The tracks are
1)Higher Voice - 2:25 - a very ethereal beginning to a very beautiful album.
2)Peace - 4:04
3)Dream within a Dream - 5:17
4)On Top of the Mountain - 6:23
5)Future of the Sea - 4:37 -- Oooo, this one starts with the call of the humpback whales.
6)Voyage of the Soul - 12:04 - Obviously the longest track.
7)Beautiful Swan - 2:47
8)Reflection - 3:56
9)Promenade - 4:24
10)Agape - 1:56
11)Inner Serenity - 4:11
12)Full Circle - 1:35
It is very difficult to divide these tracks up and talk about them separately. They are more like a flowing one-ness of beauty, like WE should be. I have sincerely heard nothing like his music before. It truly makes me think of peace, beauty, love, angels, God, and Heaven.
Frederic is a gentleman originally from France who now resides in the Palms Springs, California desert. As a 12-year old boy, he was in a horrible auto accident that ejected him from the car and busted him up badly. Following the accident, he had a near death experience (NDE) that forever changed his life. His music is so beautiful and so vibrational, he surely must have brought it back from Heaven as a result of the NDE. You will want to play his albums over and over again. I LOVE every one of his CDs, and I have the whole set.
Peace and Love to all of you.
Namaste'.
