"Freddie Hubbard is one of the rare trumpeters to keep playing with the same talent as when he played for Blue Note, which is admittedly a long time ago and an era not to be forgotten. Every tune sounds so good and refreshing that one can barely spend one whole week without playing the whole album."

"i also found another hubbard album-now-cd when searching the stacks at amazon.com. it's Outpost, with freddie, kenny, buster williams on bass and al foster on drums. it's short by cd standards, but has a very nice tune, "dual force" penned by buster. and a nice slow version of "you don't know what love is", one of my favorite tunes."
