CD ReviewsGreat Compilation 10/08/1999 (5 out of 5 stars) "Although I usually do not like collections or greatest hits records, this one in particular is worth the buy even if you own some of the records the songs are on. The album has a certain mood it maintains from beginning to end. Freddie Hubbard knows how to capture a ballad and the cast of players is awesome. Joe Henderson, McCoy Tyner, Elvin Jones, James Spaulding, etc.... Blue Note put together songs that were not his most well known songs or compsitions, but ones which truly showcase his mastery and feeling. Great record for fans and listeners unfamiliar with Hubbard."
