Amazon.comThe latest installment of the House of OM series is a long over-due mix by Montreal native Fred Everything. Fred?s achievements and contributions to the scene are as impressive as they are unique--he?s as much a veteran behind the decks as he is in the studio, with tracks on over 100 compilations and dj residencies around the world. This mix is by far the most impressive offering in the series to date. It starts out strong and continues strong throughout. Tracks like "Love Could Be," "When She Spoke," and Fred?s own "Studio C" are deep, funky, and warm in all the right ways. The style is spot on with mixes running both subtle and long, which creates an experience that is truly greater then the sum of its parts. The album closes with Brett Johnson?s beautiful summer dub of "Everything is Changing"--a warm, horn-heavy track that fits like a glove. Everything stands tall and his peers at the tables should take note as his depth and versatility shine above. --Anish Acharya
