"Allan Fraser is my father and this label may have bootlegged this album. He was not notified of its release. Please hold off on buying this record--which indeed is beautiful and SHOULD be re-released--until the legalities can be sorted out. If you want to get in touch with Allan and Daisy, they are both on MySpace.
Please help protect artists and their work.
Thanks so much,
Kaya Fraser

Fabulous Work -But Beware

"I own 5 vinyl copies of this album. It remains my favorite piece of music ever and I bought the CD reissue last week. As to it's legality, I can only say that the second half of the album appears to have been mastered from vinyl. That is not normal for a legal sanctioned work."
Incredible Music, Horrible Copy

"This is one of my favorite albums of all time. Great songs, clever lyrics, superb musicianship, and the vocals - it's like Allan & Daisy's voices were made for each other. Absolutely beautiful. However, the CD is obviously dubbed from a vinyl record. The surface noise & scratches are noticeable, in some parts very distracting. My copy of the LP is in better shape - I could have gotten this for the price of a blank CD. And, as the review below indicates, this release appears not to be authorized by Fraser & DeBolt. I would have to assume they are not being paid the royalties they deserve. Until a legit copy comes out on CD, I recommend finding a good copy of the original on eBay or Music Stack."
Best music ever

"I've known of this album since 1971 and still enjoy the zany lyrics, great vocal harmonies and juxtapositions of voices and fiddle. Phrases that stick in your head for thirty-five years or so. I'm so glad it's being re-released on CD - a real gem!"
