Greatest 17-minute waltz medley ever!

"Unlike some other CDs on this label, this one appears to be original material. Recording quality is top-notch, as are Frankie Yankovic's performances. There are only two tracks, a medley of 24 polkas and another of 24 waltzes, with a total playing time of about 35 minutes. The polka medley apparently uses a computerized rhythm section, which fades in before, and fades out after, all the other instruments. Only the first line of each song in the medley is sung, before the instruments take over. The waltz medley, however, is more conventional. No computerized drums here, and no vocals either. Over seventeen minutes of relentless waltz rhythm contrast with, and complement nicely, the smooth sound of the solovox (organ/synthesizer) alternating with an accordion or two. This waltz medley may well be my favorite Yankovic track of all time. There is nothing like a quarter-hour of that smooth-yet-sharp (solovox vs rhythm) Yankovic waltz sound. It's enough to give every polka and waltz fan a genuine high every time the track is played. Great job, Frankie Yankovic and Polka City! This CD has been on and off the market for a few years now, so get it while you can."
Uninspired Performances, If I Could Give 0 stars, I would!

"This is a 35 minute medley of polkas and waltzes. The polkas aren't even in polka tempo, and this recording is just, for the lack of any other word, pathetic."
