You cannot lose with this fun music -- re-mastered CD sound quality is excellent BTW. Someone told me there is an investigative reports show about Smith and this record -- he claims he never got a cent for this proto-rappinghood slice of brilliance. Wouldn't be the first time that happened. There must be some connection between this and Malcolm MaClaren's Double Dutch cut on Duck Rock -- not to mention that Missy Elliot track with the Asian kid -- if they were't straight samples of DDB they were sure copying the style.
