"Besides being an accomplished salsa singer in this cd, he shows that he can do all types of music. You will find pop, bachata, boleros, two enlish songs and, of course, salsa. At first, I was thrown a bit because I'm so use to hearing Frankie do salsa but, after listening to the cd a couple of times, I love it. It's a cd I listen to on a daily basis and I guarantee you'll love."
A solid showcase for a great voice

"Frankie Negron has one of the best voices in contemporary Latin music: an incredible blend of sweetness, power, and emotion. "Por Tu Placer" contains songs that showcase his talent well. Although most of the lyrics are in Spanish, 2 songs are sung in English. The song "Comerte a Besos" is given in no less than three versions (pop, salsa, and bachata). The album's title song, "Por Tu Placer," also occurs in three forms: salsa, pop, and an English-language version ("With All My Love"). It's interesting to compare the different versions. Frankie is equally effective in both languages; he makes both Spanish and English sound romantic or exciting (as the lyrics demand). The title song is a wonderfully energetic, upbeat piece which is excellent in each of its incarnations. I also really liked "Algo Mas," which has a tender, dreamy sound. Frankie's vocals on "Otro Intento" have a charmingly playful flair. Also impressive is the disc's other English track, the sweet love song "So Wonderful." Whether you're an old fan of salsa and Latin pop, or a recent convert, I highly recommend this CD."
