Mr. Masters swings it sweet

"Frankie Masters had one of the all time best "sweet" swing bands.His vocals were always smooth and tasteful, and his girl vocalist Phyllis Myles (future Mrs. Masters) was always swinging. Some of the absolute keepers on this disc are "On the other end of a Kiss" , "Wait till I get my sunshine in the moonlight" and future surf classic "Misirlou" !? Frankie Masters and his Orchestra is probably a band not to many people have heard of, but well worth the time to check out. Also he's very hard to come by recording wise so this really is a worthy treasure of sweet swinging sounds. Taken from Lang- Worth Transcriptions 1945-1949 the sound is tip-top! I'd highly recommend this CD to any Big Band fan whos looking for something a little deeper than the ususal Goodman/Shaw/Dorsey fair."
