Another solid Yankovic performance
Bill Smythe | Chicago | 11/09/1998
(5 out of 5 stars)
"This CD contains ten well-performed and well-recorded polkas. You can never go wrong with Frankie Yankovic. The only reason you might want not to purchase this CD is that most of the numbers have been recorded again on Frankie's last two releases, Songs of the Polka King Volumes 1 and 2. If you already have these CDs (which are the best Yankovic ever recorded), or if you intend to get them, you'll find a lot of duplication in this one. Unfortunately, Frankie died recently, in October of 1998. But this and other CDs assure his legacy will not be forgotten."
Some Top Quality Polka Music

"While I would agree, Yankovic's "Songs of the Polka King, Volume 1" is probably the best I've heard, this is quite a good album. It contains excellent versions of Tic Toc Polka, Baby Doll Polka, and Cafe Polka. An added bonus is the addition of Joey Miskulin as second accordian and some vocals. At this price, you're crazy not to buy if you like polkas at all! It's a great mix. The only reason I give it four stars is because some of the recording quality is less than perfect, otherwise, this is a great album."
Best of the polka king

"The best of the polka king that you have heard at weddings or at polka festivals. Every track of this CD is a polka that you will remember and enjoy."
