Along the Rio Grand River the word fandango means two things: music and food. That's the inspiration for this CD. It brings together cowboy guitar music with an enticing mini-cookbood of recipes straight from the ranch. Musically the CD re-creates the feel of a real fandango. The first several tunes are toe-tapping traditional tunes from both the U.S. and Mexico. Later on the solo guitar comes out while folks stare into the embers of the campfire. Inside the CD booklet in a mini cookbook with recipes including everything from cornbread to lonesome dove pie.
