CD ReviewsBroadway baby cries out rkelly@tvsm.com | New York, NY | 10/14/1998 (3 out of 5 stars) "The original Eponine from the New York cast of Les Misérables makes a pretty good attempt at crossing over into mainstream pop. Standout tracks include "Lose Your Illusions", "Fragile Girl" and "Love Parade". Some of the other tracks simply fall flat, despite Ruffelle's powerful and expressive voice. For her first effort, though, it shows definite promise. Having cowrote most of the songs, one hopes Ruffelle's writing will improve a bit more on her next work. There's nothing sadder than not giving such a unique and beautiful voice the proper material and room to soar." Fragile Girl Amanda Brooks | Los Angeles, CA USA | 10/16/1998 (5 out of 5 stars) "Frances' debut album is extraordinary and beyond anything I have ever heard. Her transition into pop is unique and quirky, with a touch of vulnerability and innocence. Lonely Symphony stands out and brings her album to full force. She puts herself into this album, introducing her like for pop music. Fragile is without a doubt the best album ever made by any artist." Awsome S. R Reyenga | Brantford, Ontario Canada | 04/30/2004 (5 out of 5 stars) "I bought this CD years ago. Everyone who hears it absolutely loves it and wonders just exactly who Francess Ruffelle is!"
