I can't believe no one rated this gem!

"While running down the reviews of Sonny Stitt albums on Amazon to see if there is something major that I've missed, I noticed that no one had anything to say about this great contribution by Sonny and Red. I know it through its original appearance on LP. It is a joyous, rollicking, life affirming romp through six tunes that leave the listener amazed that his fellow human beings who live on the same planet as him are capable of mastering an art form to such a high degree as to make him wonder at being alive. A good biography of Sonny will probably never be written. Who could understand his brilliant playing and his curmudgeonly personality balanced against the surity and inevitability of him doing creating again and again, every night, and relate them to each other without using cliches - the under-appreciated artist, the follower in a great man's footsteps. A sadness and a joy struggled at his core, struggled at his core for so long nthat he accepted them. Any attempt to define Sonny fails when presented with this music. All former categories lose their structure when presented when the gods grant grace to a moment. This is one of those moments. And Red. I never thought of you the way I should have. I listen to you differently now.
Check out the original cover. Two silly fools of God smiling like they know what they did - put their musical signatures to a moment of time that will echo in the cosmos unendingly."
