"This new Ford Blues Band 1999 CD is my favorite to date. These four talented musicians combine all aspects of what a great blues band is suppose to be. Everything is strong on this CD from start to finish --From the song writing, the singing, and the fantastic harmonica instrumentals. In my opinion this has a little more of an assertive feel (which I love), while maintaining their classic sound that they are known for. The harp player, Andy Just is notorious for his take no prisoner chops. He shows his great agility in knowing when to go all out, and when to add just the right amount of finesse. Andy's vocals are also so wonderful, especially on that slow blues tune "I have My Doubts". "Zip It Up", is a tear it up harp instrumental that rocks. Andy also adds some very sweet sounding harp on the last song Daydreamin', which hosts Robben Ford on lead vocals, and of course that celebrated guitar playing. The rhythm section of Dewayne Pate on bass, and Patrick Ford on drums is so superb, that the grooves will make you think you have a second heartbeat. The guitar player, Volker Striffler is just darn smokin' - not just guitar, but vocals too. All in all, I highly suggest you add this fine piece of music to your collection. It is definitely getting heavy rotation in my Jetta. I love these guys!"
