Desert Etiquette was a new approach for the loan singer/songwriter Seth Kauffman. All the lyrics were written in a two-day period while Seth was sick (Dylan always said that's the best time to write). Most songs have less than 8 tracks; 2 guitars instead of 3 or 4; minimal percussion. Maybe this is Floating Action's John Wesley Harding: no candy coating, focus on the lyrics and songs themselves.The goal: take away all my normal crutches, and make it capture the feeling you get when you're in Big Sur, CA
