"(Actually more like 4.5 stars) At first, it seems that Flick is nothing but another band trying to nail down the Radiohead formula. Sure, the punchy guitar rush of "Freezer Burnt" is reminiscent of Radiohead's 3-guitar attack, and "The End"'s moody ambience and falsetto vocals conjure up the memory of the Oxford quintet, but Flick are definitely their own entity--poppy, kinetic, and fun. If you're dismayed over the breakup of the Boo Radleys, Flick serve as a more-than-adequate substitute, and fans of Oasis and Supergrass will also marvel at the youthful energy and dexterity of this Stockton, MO band. Plus, they're cool guys. A great, diverse collection of songs ranging from hard rock ("Freezer Burnt") to psychedelia ("High on You") to power-pop ("Electric Pear")--grab 'em while they're hot!"
Incredible

"let me be short and to the point. This is such an incredible cd that i couldnt imagine losing it id simply sacrifice my food for a week or so and re-purchace. I heard it on accident and it was almost instantly one of my favorite cds never gets old never dissapoints. It sounds a bit like pumpkins a bit like placebo and a bit like (yes im serious) the beatles in their sargent peppers days. This is a must have."
Beautiful.

"This album is a brooding, haunting cacophony sounds. It's beautiful. It does sound a bit like the Beatles' psychedelic music; especially "Drag," which sound reminds me of "All Across the Universe." But they have their own unique sound, and its good music to listen to when you're in a 'soul-searching' mood. My favorite lyrics: "maybe someday I'll find that one thing that makes me feel like I want to feel.""
