"The Flamin' Groovies were always 'out of time' but recognized a good tune and enjoyed rockin' out. They played rockabilly and 60's pop (in their own way) when progressive, heavy rock and disco were popular. But the title for this compilation is very appropriate, they were always Red Hot (and often brilliant). Even after Roy Loney left. Startin' with their first single 'Love Have Mercy' through the classic 'Flamingo', 'Teenage Head' and 'Shake Some Action' albums to 'Jumpin' in The Night', this is great stuff. You could ask for 'Whisky Woman' or another favourite but this is the best compilation (24 tracks) by The Flamin' Groovies so far."
