Born Martha Jane Lafferty, Janet Blair was probably best known as an actress on stage and screen. She sang with big bands in the 40s and in 1959 released this collection of late night ballads to coincide with the release of the film Burn Witch Burn. This CD re-issue contains 12 tracks among which are some very nicely orchestrated (arranged by Lou Busch) versions of standards like Autumn Leaves, Can't Help Loving That Man of Mine, and Get Outta Town.
