"Otra vez un muy buen album de nuestro Fito querido. Solo voz y piano, pero un solo sentimiento. Me gusto mucho. Melodias y letras casi perfectas. El que no tenga este album aun, se esta perdiendo de mucho :)"

"If you've never heard Fito Pae before, you're best off purchasing his classic: El Amor Despues del Amor (1992) which showcases Paez's music and lyrics at its best. While the melodies are nice, and afficionados will enjoy listening to new work from this brilliant musician, the album fails to entice the listener based solely on the quality of the music. Paez's voice at times sounds flat and the piano often leaves the listener wanting.



If you were to categorized Paez's albums as either "artsy" (i.e. for the sake of the artist) and "popular" (i.e. music written and intended for a broad audience), this new album would fall into the former category. Rodolfo is all about a musician who's grown very comfortable in the last few years singing with only piano accompaniment. Paez's best work is more pop-oriented than Rodolfo; unfortuantely he hasn't produced a great album of solo work since Abre in 1999."
