Just Call Me Scrooge - Fishbone, Kibby, Walter Adam
Love and Bullshit - Fishbone, Kibby, Walter Adam
Here's a righteous romp through the free-spirited L.A. ska-punk pioneers' history. Disc 2 features formative demo tracks from the group's early-'80s incarnation; it's amazing to hear their development from fun, awkward ska players to assured monster musicians, from scrappy horn band to metalloid mofos. Fishbone's influence--be it on the Red Hot Chili Peppers or the Mighty Mighty Bosstones--is massive; their success wasn't. This retrospective clarifies why, for once, you could believe the hype. --James Rotondi« less

"Fishbone is one band which does not do in the studio what it is capable of doing. If you ever get a chance to see them live, then you will know what I am talking about. Don't get me wrong, their albums are really jumpin', yet, the animalistic energy and musical-instrument-juggling-act which is their live performances should never be passed by."
No better Fishbone in one set!!!!

"Growing up in LA in the 80's my friends and I listened to Fishbone almost every time I went cruising. We saw them several times live. We couldn't help it.This 2 CD set truly is a EXCELLENT intro or reminder of the fun and power, not only music but intellectually, of Fishbone. The first CD covers the standard 'best set' from their albums. I love not needing to carry several CD cases now to get my Fishbone fix. The second CD is an excellent reminder collection for those fans who were actually there to collect this music, or for those fans who would like more Fishbone to play with! This album does NOT portray Fishbone as the excellent live band they are. See them in concert for that!
This album does NOT cover ALL their great music. Collect all thier CD's, tapes, LP's and EP's for that. This album IS an EXCELLENT and large collection of great music by a great band at an super price.I hope you enjoy as much as I do!"
