CD ReviewsA Worthwhile Investment... C. Pol | Ontario, Canada | 12/18/2001 (5 out of 5 stars) "Firehouse. One name, one band. Perhaps one of the most under-rated bands of the time. They were great in the early 90's, and still are in my opionion. As a result of a lack of radio play of late, they haven't been able to maintain their prowess in North America. This CD was released for in Asia, for their fans there. This is actually a very worthy greatest hits albums, unlike the "Superhits" and "Here For You" albums. For any fan, this album is truly a treat. Many of the bands greatest songs are contained on the album. "Love of a Lovetime," a great wedding song is here, as is "All She Wrote," "Don't Treat Me Bad," "I Live My Life For You," "Dream," "You Are My Religion," and "Reach For The Sky." My only complaint is that a couple of others from `Category 5' could have been used like "I'd Do Anything," "To Get To Know You," and "Acid Rain." Still, the album is continuously great from start to finish. The lyrics to all the songs are included, as are tidbits about the history of each song, which is a nice addition. The added bonus is the VCD that is included with the album. All of the videos that Firehouse has done to date are on that disc. Some, which have never been seen by some fans will surely plese them. For the most part, this collection is a must have. It really showcases what Firehouse is truly capable of, and in the long-run is a great investment. Where else can you get a bevy of hits, plus all of their videos in one shot, and all for a great price??" A greatest hits + 6 videos eveoflove | North York, Ontario Canada | 04/08/2001 (3 out of 5 stars) "Made in ASI in 2000, Serial# 501183-9, Playing Time 75:43+videosLyrics enclosed. This compilation is somewhat slanted towards the "softer" side of FIREHOUSE; disc 1 contains 17 tracks lifted from their first 5 albums, while disc 2 is a VCD containing 6 videos. This package is intended for the asian market, where FIREHOUSE is very popular. Unfortunately, the track selection is a bit on the lighter side:from "Firehouse", we get "Love Of A Lifetime", "All She Wrote", "Don't Treat Me Bad" and "Home Is Where The Heart Is";from "Hold Your Fire": "When I Look Into Your Eyes", "Reach For The Sky", "Mama Didn't Raise No Fool" and "Hold The Dream".From "3" come "Here For You", "No One At All" and "Trying To Make A Living";from "Good Acoustics": "I Live My Life For You", "You Are My Religion" and "Love Don't Care".Finally, from "Category 5": "Dream", "Can't Stop The Pain" and "Bringing Me Down".If you're looking for a nice compilation, this is a good choice, and we're treated to an additional 6 videos of excellent quality, and you don't need a DVD player: Windows Media Player works just fine..."
