"This latest issue from the original 1960's catalog of Norman Petty's hot instrumental group, The Fireballs, features George Tomsco's amazing guitar work once again. After issuing two albums on the Top Rank label, a third planned album was shelved (until the 1990's!) with the demise of Top Rank, prompting a switch to the Warwick label for their next LP. That album is reproduced here; "Here Are The Fireballs" featuring 10 instrumental tracks from those first two LPs, plus both sides of their current Warwick 45. One of them "Yacky Do" features a vocal backing by new member Jimmy Gilmer, soon to prove his worth with the number one single of 1963: Sugar Shack (not included here). All of this material is available in the same form on other Fireballs CD releases, but collectors will enjoy the unique packaging. The original "Quality" release from Canada of this LP features a photo of the group on its cover taken to promote their "Bulldog" 45 (not included here).I can dig it!"
