"A "speak to all" cd. Wow! This Eric Byrd has strapped together some amazing tracks that reveal everything I love about jazz, piano and the magical three piece combo. Just when you think the standards have been overdone, here comes this guy from Maryland who lights a fire under them and brings out the best of why they are standards. His style is bright and clean and his sense of the "tune" is impressive for such a young player. I think we'll be hearing a lot from this guy. A lot... This is material for introducing the idium to kids, it's background for a romantic evening, its a trip down memory lane for my folks generation. This Byrd's gonna fly baby. Where can I get more?"
